Evergreen Nylon Recycling | Depolymerization
Evergreen is Shaw's nylon recycling facility in Augusta, Georgia. Through depolymerization, which is the process of taking a chemical back to its molecular state, caprolactam is recovered. Eco Solution Q® is a type 6 nylon that can be depolymerized and returned to the manufacturing process, which keeps the materials in a closed loop system.

Waste to Energy | Gasification
Waste to Energy is a process of producing energy through the combustion of solid waste in specially designed power plants. The state-of-the-art process is fueled with carpet waste and laminate wood flour. The technology replaces traditional fossil fuel boiler technology used to produce steam for carpet dyeing operations at Plant 81 in Dalton, Georgia. The waste to energy gasification process will remove 44 million pounds of landfill waste while improving plant emissions and conserving natural resources.
